D.C. National Guard
Capital Guardians - We are watching closely, like I know you are, the dynamically changing situation in Afghanistan and ask that you keep those US military and civilian teammates in mind during this trying time. As we all reflect on our commitments to that mission through the years, please know that your DCNG leadership is extremely grateful and proud of your contributions – that gratitude will not diminish. Thank you so much for your service. Please take a moment to read the Note to the Force from Gen. Hokanson and SEA Whitehead about Afghanistan.
"This may be a difficult time for those who served, and those who supported their loved ones in Afghanistan. It often helps to talk to battle buddies and wingmen, and now is the time to look out for each other. Please don't hesitate to reach out and be there for each other. And if you need help and don't know where to turn, please reach out to a unit chaplain or contact Military One Source at 800-342-9647.
