Sometimes a donation is much more than a donation

Dear Friends,

We’ve sent a number of emails asking for you to make a donation before our first official FEC fundraising deadline comes to an end.

Reaching our goals is important. But sometimes a donation is about much more than a donation. Let me explain:

Long before almost anyone else, Bernie was out there fighting for ideas like Medicare for All, free college, a $15 minimum wage and more. He was a lonely voice in those fights. He was dismissed as fringe.

But then our 2016 campaign happened. And I can tell you that the reason those ideas are mainstream today is because of you. It’s because of every petition signed, every social media post, every vote cast, and every donation. Yes. Every donation. Because each one sends a message to Bernie’s colleagues about the kind of leadership you want – the kind you’ll support.

That’s why your donation is more than just a donation, and why it’s so important we ask:

Can you make a donation – of any amount – before our official FEC fundraising deadline comes to an end? Each donation matters. It matters to Bernie. It matters to our campaign, and it sends a message about what you want from your elected leaders and from your president.

Quando Bernie Sanders fala sobre a necessidade de reconstruir o movimento operário americano e para torná-lo mais fácil, não mais difícil, para se juntar a um sindicato, ele quer dizer isso.

Essa é uma das razões pelas quais estamos orgulhosos de compartilhar uma peça histórica de notícias com você:

Ontem à tarde nossa campanha anunciou que será a primeira campanha presidencial do partido importante na história de sindicalização, após uma maioria do pessoal qualificado designado a Food and Commercial Workers United local 400 para representá-los.

O direito de se organizar como parte de uma união tem sido historicamente uma das maneiras mais seguras para os trabalhadores americanos para se juntar a classe média.

Nós não podemos apenas apoiar sindicatos com palavras, devemos guardá-lo com ações. E a verdade é que todas as outras campanhas na primária democrata deve fazer o mesmo.

Se você adicionar a sua voz e deixá-los saber que você está prestando atenção, temos a certeza que eles vão colaborar. Então, nós estamos pedindo:

Assine nossa petição: incentivar cada uma das campanhas na primária democrata de formar sindicatos que irão proteger seus trabalhadores, oferecendo bons salários, bons benefícios, e uma voz no trabalho.
