Sad that this needs to be clarified but, here we go:

The U.S. Women’s National Soccer team is NOT unpatriotic. These players represent our nation with honor and integrity.

You see, Republicans are accusing some players of turning their back on a World War II veteran during the national anthem (spoiler alert: they didn’t. They just happened to be looking at the flag when the picture was taken -- and they all turned and clapped at the end of the anthem).

This “controversy” was entirely fabricated by Fox News in an attempt to drum up outrage and therefore more viewers for their network. They are politicizing our military and claiming to own the very concept of “patriotism.” It’s a dangerous trend in our politics right now and we need to push back:

Contribute to VoteVets today so we can continue to push back on dangerous Republican messages about patriotism and our military. Pitch in here:

By the way, if these Fox News talking heads are so worried about patriotism, maybe they should be more concerned about the capitol rioters who literally beat police officers with the American flag.

The Capitol rioters

This is just more of the same fake outrage from Republicans who want to avoid talking about the real issues. You know, like rooting out white supremacist terrorists or helping our economy recover after a global pandemic?

We’re sick of their fake outrage BS. If you are too, pitch in to support VoteVets today.

P.S. Hopefully soon the U.S. Women’s National Team will be shown the respect they deserve and be given equal pay!
